The stock ECU is definitely confused, but that's OK for now. Coolant temp sensor is not connected, CAN bus is not connected. Weird that it would not rev even while I believe I've connected throttle pedal (that's 6 wires) and electronic throttle body (that's 7 wires) - I guess it has decided to go into limping mode.
Next step: adding a T-junction and sniffing camshaft sensor.
I am experimenting with Proteus + Mini Cooper cam sensor on the bench just to gain experience with Hall on the bench.
I have digital power supply feeding 5v into cam sensor and Proteus powered only by USB.
With this specific cam sensor my Rigol shows some massive noise, right? Why is that?
Also fun: standby it shows 1v and with metal flying close by it goes closer to 0v or maybe 0.2v, either way Proteus would not detect that as logic level change right? So how would one read such a cam?
Is anything wrong with my bench setup approach?
