VE values unplausible but still right

Post by Murkser »

Hello together,

I currently have the problem that my VE values are way too small to be plausible, but my AFR is sitting at 14.7ish

I have a Miata NA which had an 1.6 that I ran with the Proteus board (VE was good there). The engine was oiling worse by the day, so I swapped in the NB2 VVT engine.
The VVT engine is mostly stock, the things I changed are:
Triggerwheel: Protege 36-1
Fuelsystem: return style from the NA (fuel pressure is measured by the ECU) adapted to the VVT fuel rail
and I think that's it.

I was expecting idle VE at about 10 and under load and high RPM close to 90-95.
What I got now is 1.6 at Idle and about 10 under load and RPM

The car is my daily driver and works with the current tune (Tune should be attached).
If any more info is needed, I will try to supply it, I am Just new to forums in general.

Maybe any of you can give me a hint where to look because I am out of ideas.

Thanks in advance you very lovely people :)

Welcome!

Please upload your tune to rusefi.com/online

Some input used for fuel calculation is wrong. You probably have correct displacement, your injector lag is the most often case of bad data.

Got back to this issue today.

I was testing different injector dead times and turned off "Fuel > Injection configuration > Apha-N uses IAT density correction"

I tried starting the car. would not start. gave VE15 for Idle region (bevore it was 1.8) so now a normal value.

Can someone tell me what happens with this setting because i dont realy understand it?

thanks :)
