MRE 1.8t golf mk2

Post by mfurkanates »

Hi everybody ,

I swapped the 1.8t engine coded audi tt mk1 ARY to my old golf 2 car. I did the sensor wiring myself. I connected the injector and ignition coils. Now the electronic accelerator pedal and ETB are working properly. I can read data from sensors. I try to make basic adjustments and start. But I couldn't start the engine. There is a lambda sensor and a map, but only the map is currently connected. I will also connect the lambda. I could not complete the pipe for the map, so the map is in the open air.I connected the fuel pump to the relay. It works when I turn on the ignition, and it activates and continues to work when cranking. The injectors and ignition coils work when I test them.I've been reading and researching how to make timing adjustments, but I'm confused. I have no experience on the subject, I'm trying to do it by researching and following forums.I couldn't find a base map and I couldn't find a configuration file I could look at as an example. How should I configure the trigger and is there an example configuration file I can take a look at? Could the fact that I did not connect the turbo be the reason for it not working? I bought it without knowing the condition of the engine. Right now I just want to start the engine to test it. I will add new updated photos, these are old photos.

Welcome to the forum!

Most common "Trigger Angle Advance" for 60/2 is 90, ideally you should be using a timing light to find the exact value on your engine.

sorry for late update

The thing is fuel line was reverse, timing was off it shoud be 78. even if it is 78 it needs to be check via timing light.
