Everyone loves a good distraction right?
Radlok RL00571-25 https://www.amphenol-industrial.de/en/RL00571-25/5-7mm-Radlok-plug-25mm-orange/p10796 is an alternative to good old 6mm stud
VN7003ALH sounds cool fun fact: today dev board costs $4 while single chip costs $5. A modern replacement for legacy AUIR3313S?
https://digitalcommons.calpoly.edu/eesp/387/ would be a source of inspiration

Re: PDM info dump
Need help: looking for off-the-shelf hardware for positive terminal. We want a flange touching PCB and we want an eyelet outside of the case.
TDG went with everything custom including 11 head m6 internal low profile nut I would prefer to go with simpler stuff.
Let's start with M6 options?
Maybe wurth 7461098
Maybe wurth 7461084
random cool not M6 stuff

Re: PDM info dump
The VN700x are decent parts. I am using them as a replacement for the marked-for-obsolescence VN5E010AH. I have a couple thousand of them right now because.... I could buy them. Supply is *extremely* limited.
The Weurth terminals are also awesome. They're very well designed. I think I am using a M5 one? Availability is kind of icky sometimes. TME seem to do a very good job of stocking them, if you don't mind shipping from Europe.

Re: PDM info dump
Another source of high-current lug stuff is lugsdirect.com
They have a lot of bizarre and interesting parts.
I've tried some of their "SMD" parts (i.e. https://lugsdirect.com/B2C-PCB-SS-Surface-mount-tech-2-14AWG-115A-PCB-terminal.htm ) and have found them to be too easy to break off PCBs in the course of securing wires.
The slotted/TH parts (i.e. https://lugsdirect.com/B6A-PCB.htm ) are very good quality. Great value.
Note: these are *hard* to solder with just a regular soldering iron. Even with a 100W professional iron, you need to do some pre-heating. The parts just soak up too much heat. Wave solder with a little pre-heat? Butter. Excellent coating.

Also older MC33984/MC33988 - dual channel direct or SPI control. AliExpress has them at fairly decent price.

ETA makes SCS200 PDM.
https://global.e-t-a.com/products/intelligent_power_distribution_systems/scsr_smart_control_systems/scsr_smart_control_systems_products/p/scs200/#downloadBlock1537
It is PDM without any brains, controlled by can messages.
Put together Google drive folder with datasheets, manuals and CanHacker TSK file.

Re: PDM info dump
Would a latest and greatest VN9008AJTR be cool on a PDM? Pretty available right now.

Re: PDM info dump

Im looking at getting a run of these assembled to have a play around with... any interest if i get a few extra? Will probably do the standard 8 output and the 4 higher current output 'max' versions.AndreyB wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 5:58 pmopen source design https://github.com/corygrant/DingoPDM_HW
Not sure on timing as i would prefer to get it with all the smd parts installed and it looks like jlc are out of the bts7002 fets at the moment.
Also not sure on cost yet, but would need to cover postage from my relatively remote part of Australia.
Looks good but Im not involved in this project so dont know how well or even if these work... so check it out yourself and makes sure you know what your getting into.
