'96 Toyota Cynos El54 - 5E - 1.5L

Post by bobor »

Hi, I'm Dima from Moscow, Russia.

This is my first RusEFI project:
Toyota Cynos EL54 1996, a small JDM car with 1.5L 5E-FHE engine. A great car for egoists :D

Approximate TODO list:
- custom trigger wheel for crank (60/2) + Hall sensor (Bosch motorsport)
- custom trigger wheel for cam (36/1) + Hall sensor (Bosch motorsport)
- Individual VAG coils
- Denso Injectors
- MAP (Speed Density algorithm)
- Custom ITB + ETB

This is fine, but probably provides zero actual benefit over 36-1.

Please don't do this. There's no need to have high resolution wheels on both the cam and crank. We don't support that, and it unnecessarily adds CPU load. We actually start the engine in wasted spark mode before we get cam sync - so a low resolution cam doesn't actually hurt you at all. Single tooth or Bosch Quick Start is currently the preferred cam pattern if you don't have one.
