I know, it's not available on mouser or digikey - but it is still so tempting...

Do we know the Ron ohms? I see Ron can be dropped if you power it with an external 12V. I'm not sure why that might be. I wonder how many BTU's or kW we could expect from that chip. That datasheet seems pretty minimal, doesn't seem to list Ton or Toff, delays, ect. There must be a more detailed datasheet out there some where.

Bosch parts are certainly quality devices, but I've had allot of problems trying to ensure consistent availability.

As suggested on another forum http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=MC33810&lang_cd=en&webpageId=M98460&nodeId=01435979968460&fromPage=tax good combination device that handles 4 injector and 4 ignition coil pre-drivers. Always in stock (Mouser and Digi-key both have over 100). Then the built in diagnostics are not to be undervalued...

I've been burnt by the MC33810 before. Built a board then couldn't get the chip for 6 months.

Looks like Mouser has it http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=MC33810 but octopart does not index mouser? https://octopart.com/search?q=MC33810

Mouser is $4.67 in qty 1; $4.41 for 10; $4.16 for 25.

Freescale has > 100 MCZ33810EK available for $3.62 for qty 1-25. I have a Freescale account if anyone is interested.
