As a new member I would like to say HELLO to the forum.
Just ordered the Proteus 0.4 board and a casing for my V12 project.
I have an 84 Jaguar XJ12 with a dead ECU due to aging - Lucas prince of darkness is known for that.
I was in search for a standalone ECU that could sequential injection and ignition for up to 12 cylinders and here I am.
Instead of repairing the old lump with a high fuel consumption and big costs I plan to convert to much more modern 12 hole injectors, wideband lambda control and distributorless ingnition....
Lets see if it will run again and what fuel consumption is possible compared to factory standards from the eighties with 15-20liters per 100km.
goal is to come down to 10 liters per 100km at country road driving with 100km/h or Autobahn at steady 130km/h
Base is a 5.3 litre HE V12 normally aspirated (HE means here high compression 12.5:1 with Michael May high swirl combustion chamber in front of the exhaust valve).
I want to change the old 3 belt drive to one serpentine belt for space reasons behind the radiator to get enough space for electric coolant pumps.
The new pulley is ordered and while changing the pulley the 36-1 wheel could be placed behind the pulley and the sensor could be located on the block.
Lets see when everything arrives and I can start fiddling and testing
Location is Hamburg in Germany
Cheers Cord

Re: Hi There from Germany
hello,
I do have almost the same project using a Jaguar V12 1995 distributor-less.
Any update on this project? did it see the light?
cheers!
