In which direction should I measure trigger angle offset, alpha or beta?

In this case, I think you want to use negative alpha. My car has the missing tooth roughly 90 degrees BTDC #1, and I enter 86 to get the timing light to match up.
Yours looks like around -60 or so.

Should we change parameter label from "trigger angle offset" to "trigger angle advance"?
