Which one is transmit and which one is recieve? Diagrams only says MPX1/2 ? does it matter? i am confuse

After reading, I think it's one cable? The cable comes in through MPX1 and leaves through MPX2?

Then, on this picture: Means both Transmit and Receive connect to the same BEAN net which is physically referred to as MPX1/2? It all works automagically in one wire?
