I am interested in the backward conversion. In order to hydromechanical automatic gearbox convert to manual shift.
Like petals under a wheel or a rally cam shifting gearbox

Look into the BMW SMG gearboxes, they are fully self-contained units...
I'm currently working on an E46 5-speed SMG like the one pictured, when going from 5th to Reverse "going through every gear" it only takes 420ms!
