ST launches STM32F7 series - Cortex M7 powered STM32

Basically the Cortex M7 gives 2x the performance of the Cortex M4 at the same clockspeed.
The clock speed for the F7 is also up to 200MHz.
Floating point unit is still single precision.
Apart from the improved core performance the biggest advantage of the STM32F7 over the STM32F4 seems the increased amount of available SRAM: 320KB in total.
In terms of peripherals there seems not much improvement over the STM32F4, but I did not look closer into the timers.
Unfortunately the LQFP-100 package variant of the F7 is not compatible with the LQFP-100 package variant of the F4.. The other package variants are compatible.
Is there a need for increased performance and/or more SRAM ? Then this might be an interesting MCU!
