I saw where the latest firmware has the ability to program the rusEFI O2 sensor controller. How would that work with two modules? Plug them in one at a time? Maybe an option can be added to set the controller ID for sensor one and sensor two before pressing the update firmware button?

Yeah, I'd been thinking about that too. I think I'll end up having one "update firmware" button per index, in addition to "set index to X" buttons so that you can pick the index if you have multiple controllers.

Made some minor tweaks to the pcb layout. Adjusted some track sizes and added ground fill to the front side. Any insight or correction before a prototype is ordered?

It's in the Hardware branch. New to Git. Can't get it to move to Main

Ah - that's solvable.

git checkout main
git merge hardware

That will merge the progress on the hardware branch back in to main.

All files have been merged to main.

Main concern is fitment of the modules side by side.

Another layout I'm going to make a board for is two modules in line with the connector. Some people may like the form factor better.

After further investigation, the front-to-back form doesn't really seem practical. The connector I selected is over 40mm wide and the module is roughly 25mm square.

can you rotate the modules 90 degrees so the short side of the module points towards the connector?

I'll give that a look. I'm still weighing that against a connector that's 45mm wide. My side-by-side board measures 63x36mm at the moment.

Preliminary work shows I may be able to get a board 55x55mm... layout in progress.

Updates have been made to my original dual carrier board and a new design with the modules rotated 90 degrees has been uploaded as well.

Board re-design is in progress utilizing a different (smaller) connector. I am looking at the JAE MX23A18NF1 part. It is almost 10mm smaller length and width. Parts have been ordered for fitment testing. They are very attractive price-wise from AliExpress.

I have used that MX23 series connector in the past, did a small MS2 (megasquirt2) board using the larger ( 32 pin? ) connector. That is a nice connector and pretty easy to work with.
