Cross linked polyethylene insulation recommended for most wires.

M27500-22SB2T23 is great for CAN/knock/VR

EPDM jacket may not be great for the engine bay. From wikipedia

Code: Select all

EPDM is compatible with polar substances, e.g. fireproof hydraulic fluids, ketones, hot and cold water, and alkalis. It is incompatible with most hydrocarbons, such as oils, kerosene, aromatic, gasoline, as well as halogenated solvents.
Belden 8412 microphone cable would be an example of a cable which would NOT like gasoline.

I ordered the SXL for my harness. Available in smaller spools and various colors.

I use this stuff.

There are many source but I've been happy with them, lots of colors, ship quick. The insulation it doesn't burn, really strong, melts at some stupid high number, also very thin and makes the wires look a gauge size or 2 smaller, lots of color choices as well as multiconductor and twisted pairs. The wire itself is pretty fine stand with each strand plated. If its a project you care about, this is the wire.
