Discovery Board, unable to get PC14 to do anythng??

Hello Group,

My name is Philip. I had purchased a Frankenstein kit a while back, and finally got around to assembling it. Typically, in a project such as this I try to test everything to ensure no issues. For the life of me I cannot get PC14, Low side driver #1 to do anything.

Just in case you are wondering, I know about the jumper and have shorted it to the output pad. And, I have a scope attached directly to the Discovery board pin PC14.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Can you detach Frankenstein and test discovery PC14 output without Frankenstein? Scope or even just an LED.

Hello Russian,

Thanks for the reply, I am able to disconnect the Discovery board and have tested it off of the Frankenstein. Still no luck. The others seem fine, is it possibly a bad output?

Just an update, PC14 and PC15 is not working.

Are these outputs disabled in the firmware?

There is that https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pnU3Migcc7JEezvpVt3TcVCbuE5dIXXwrYFGZI97GNM document which is me testing which GPIO is affected by discovery accesesories. PC14 and PC15 listed as green. Should work - I am not aware of anything special in the firmware about these pins.

I have written a simple test program, that only toggles PC14 and PC15, they are DOA.

have you checked those pins directly on the disco board? Have you checked the neighbouring pins using the same test code?

Have you tried another Discovery? Did your test program enable the internal pull up resistors?
