Hi dears,

I'm Giovanni from Italy, I'm very interested in this project and I want to build a rusEFI.

I have some motors to test with:

CA18DET
VG30DETT
M42B18
M44B19
S50B30

and others...

I'm in a drifting team Martelli racing (see youtube)

I would to first test in a CA18DET, please tell me what I have to buy.

Thanks!!

Hello and welcome!

As long as you understand that this is still a beta and it needs a lot of work (and your feedback might help a lot), I recommend a fully-assembled Frankenso board. A kit is also an option, but I believe that only about 3% of the kits are ever assembled - it's a lot of work and some very fine-pitch soldering.

Thanks for reply,

what version of Frankenso is the last?

SMD soldering is not my problem, so I will preferably buy a DIY kit, and I want to reuse the standard connector of my ecu, so no need a connector...

Please let me known...

Thanks!

The kit for sale https://www.tindie.com/products/russian/frankenso-02-diy-kit-/ is version 0.4, we have version 0.5 not manufactured yet and I am tempted to just order a new batch of 0.4 again.

I'm oriented to a smaller board with no connector, eg the frankenstein 0.11 board...

What are the differences between the 2 boards?

Probably also worth noting, that Frankenstein was an intermediate step towards Frankenso, and has fallen a bit behind in hardware development. I seem to recall it pretty much worked, but most testing has been done on Frankenso, and there have been several changes made to Frankenso that haven't been made to Frankenstein. You should check the known issues list to see if the changes are something you would be concerned with. The known issues list is basically the place where I have added any comments that anyone has made to me about the board, and it reminds me to look into them as my limited time permits. See links below.
