Hello from the UK
Well I just stumbled upon this project and it has piqued my interest. I have ordered a Discovery board to experiment with and the bare board (0.4) for the rusEFI. I am an electronics designer with a number of years of experience designing electronics for engine management and after-treatment systems for OEM truck applications so, hopefully, I can help with the hardware side. I have some programming experience but I will defer to the experts for that.

Hello Rhinoman, I know your work with socketing Miata ECUs! You've probably notices that Frankenso pinout matches these older Mazda units.

I thought that I recognised the name, is there any support for MAP based systems? The pin out matches which system, the US 96-99 ECUs?

MAP - sure, see http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Software:Fuel_ControlRhinoman wrote:is there any support for MAP based systems? The pin out matches which system, the US 96-99 ECUs?
Default pinout is 1990-1994 or 95 NA I believe, but you can re-route it on the board.

Re: Hello from the UK
OK thanks. I have had a look through the schematics now, I can see quite a few issues but I will start a separate thread with my suggestions/observations. I don't want to come across as over critical, however I do have a lot of experience with automotive design and I've been through the entire type approval process so I have some idea of how things should be or how things are usually done.

Welcome along and I'll look forward to your feedback. It may be worth while to note the design intent specs can be found here http://rusefi.com/wiki/index.php?title=Manual:Hardware this list many of the environmental limits that are used for various decisions.
