Hey everyone!!

My name is Larry I'm from Indiana, USA. I'm a HUGE Honda tuning enthusiast and have been involved in my local tuning scene for over 10 year's. I'm that guy everyone comes to to get custom eprom chips and tunes made and installed. I randomly came across this forum and was quite blown away by the community and progress being made. I really want to get involved.

I don't know how i can help or if help is even needed. But here is some info about me and some skills/equipment which I feel may come in handy.

Skills
-Skilled in SMD soldering
-Able to produce PCB board's with Eagle. Not anything as large and in-depth as your project for able to make and produce items.
-Skilled in Arduino programming using both amtel chips 328, 32u4 ect.. and also 32 bit ARM Cortex chips like the Cortex-M4, Cortex-M0
-Skilled in LED programming - This is my primary job currently, designing high end computerized blinking toys along with some rapid prototyping of random devices.
-Skilled in EFI tuning - At one time this was my primary job. I've tuned over 100's of OBD1&2 Honda & Acura's both n/a and f/i setup's.
-tuned with the following software/hardware packages
-Hondata, crome, AEM EMS, NepTune, ECtune, SAFC2 and many many others.

Equipment
-Arduino - aTiny8, 328, 328s, 32u4, 2056
-FTDI232 Programmer's
-AVRISP mkII Programmer
-William EPROM reader/writer
-Jtag USB programmer

-Windows, Mac, and Linux boxes

-OBD2 USB reader

Car's
-94 Acura currently equipped with a obd2 d15 I converted to OBD1 and is running on crome. Noramlly run's a b18c1 built,boosted that makes well over 600hp on AEM EMS
-2003 Acura RSX Type-S - Stock no setup for tuning currently but want to make a open source option as the market only has expensive tuning options i.e Kpro



I don't have any formal experience with the micro-controller being used currently but more then likely know more about it then I current realize.

Long story short I'm Larry and I want to help make badass EFI stuff.

Too bad I've moved from Chicago like a year ago, we were on the same third coast! My Accord http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=621 did NOT serve me well, but at least rusEfi is known to run an OBD1 Honda.

Best you can do to help is get yourself some rusEfi-compatible setup and criticize every the firmware until you are happy with it. We have a software developer here (myself), a couple of great EE guys - we need a car car who _really_ knows how an engine should run, and who has time to play with all this.

Man I'm in Chitown all the time too, It would have not been anything to drive up to have a think session.

Well I'm not much of a hardcore programmer though i can get stuff done. But I'm a pretty hardcore tuner.

I'm actually moving back into full time tuning even getting set-up with a dyno if that show's you how serious and how much i know about tuning.

I think ill try to pickup a setup to run on my OBD1 honda and go from there. Is it correct that you guy are using TunerStudio for the software end of tuning?

I have DIY kits which a cheaper - but the record is really bad in terms of 95% of buyers never assembling them to the end. It's about 300 components and some are &#$^ tiny! There are also boards assembled by our Chinese friends which are a bit more money but that's just because Chinese people do not want to solder for free.

TunerStudio is one option, our own software has less tuning features but provides some additional monitoring. You can and should connect both at the same time.

I think i can handle the DIY option but may go with the pre-made to get off the ground quicker.

Anyone doing anything with obd1 honda's? Curious how a/f maps from other software would convert into this setup...

Theoretically should be close, in reality you would be the one telling us
