Hi everyone!
I have a Suzuki DRZ400S (one cylinder engine motorcycle) with a carb and I want to check the possibility of converting to EFI. The stock carb dosen't have acceleration enrichment so it's the main point to switch to EFI. I have good skills in mechanics, software and a college degree in electronics. I have some experience with ChibiOS since I use it for a small project...I think it's a great RTOS. I download the source, take a look to the code and try my tool chains and everything build up with success.

So the perfect plan is to replace current CDI with a new hardare able to also drive EFI. I plan to build hardware from scratch to keep it small and simple as possible.

Welcome along, and I'd say yes it can be done. The question is how and is that with in your abilities.

Probably best to start a thread in the your car your engine section. Please detail what you have for crank angle sensing options, and other specs of the engine. You might want to keep parts of the CDI, and simply sniff the crank angle for fuel calcs.

I dont't have usual signal from engine for crank angle so this will by my main concern. I'll will post it in a new thread the scope trace of the signal. Yes it's simple to keep CDI and add fuel injection but I don't want 2 box... I plan to make it in 2 step. Extract the current cdi map, implement it in rusEFI and get it working with a carb. Next step is to replace carb.

I saw some reference about manual for rusEFI but I didn't find it, does it exist?
