Saw this on HaD and came by.
I've been working with reverse engineering + tuning OEM EFI systems since 2002. I've been doing performance tuning or working with automotive engine management systems for a living since 2005. I currently work for http://www.moates.net doing a mixture of tech support, training and product development and also have my own business in which I tune cars.
I currently own a 2005 Ford F350 turbo diesel V8, an integra with a built moderately hot (~225hp) naturally aspirated 2L Honda engine, a civic with a CRV motor to drive around. I hope to play with a GenIV LS smallblock on the next project.
I'm really sharp with engine management. I've tuned Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler, VW, BMW engines. I can code, strongest with AVR assembly and embedded C. I know enough VHDL and Verilog to make CPLDs that suit my needs. I'm really good with PCB design, although I use primarily Eagle. (want to learn KiCad, just haven't had time yet)
I don't have a ton of time right now though.
Have two kids (3+6) and I'm trying to wind up a few projects of my own, including a STM32F417 based Chibios-Powered CANbus sniffer. I am really excited by what I see here and hope to be able to help in some ways.
