Hello guys,
So i'm installing a Proteus ecu into a 5.7 hemi, not sure about the year but seems to be around 2006 (doesnt have vvt and stock ecu pinout is not exactly the same as a 2004 ecu pinout i found)(it has an AT trans so i'm parallel installing the proteus so stock ecu controlls the trans).
Since its my first Rusefi ecu to be installed (the others next are uaefi), i have some doubts i couldnt find answers with a quick glance at the wiki manual online.
1. Is the Tunerstudio version the same as the latest one i use for my Megasquirt clients(v3.2.05)?
2. Can pin 23 of the "black 23" connector be a switched 12v or a permanent 12v? is it the main power feed for the ecu?
3. Are the trigger patterns of this engine supported within the software/firmware? Seems there are two versions of crank triggers for the 5.7 hemi a 32 teeth and a 58 one.
As for cam trigger, they are sloted wheels, there seems to be a non vvt 2008 or older and a vvt 2009 and later design. I havent found clear pics online so i guess i will have to check on the actual engine.
thanks in advance
Jose

Re: 5.7 hemi project
I found some info regarding the trigger setup that might help.
It seems to a 36-2+2 crank wheel, i cant see any options in the trigger setup page. I also wonder what to select for cam?
