Just an introduction at this time ...
I have a 99 NB1;
FFS TVS900 supercharger (with power cards, at the moment!)
(showing up tomorrow) 15x9's with 225/45 R1R's
Lotus seats
Boss Frog roll bar
Electronics upgrades so far:
- chinese android head unit
- 4 in / 4 out DSP board; will turn into an active crossover
- amp, speakers in flight...
I have to pass OBDII emissions every year (for another 3 years, then I'm free!!!) so I'm moving slower on the standalone.
Daily Driver
Autocross and open track days
I'm basically a hacker at heart; lots of computer/electronics/networking backgound ($DayJob) -- so I have all kinds of designs floating in my head waiting to escape!
The FFS kit uses a 5th injector in the intake manifold to add the extra fuel and to provide for charge cooling; so I'm going to need some special coding, I assume ... is this sort of thing supported anywhere yet?
Also would like to go E85/flex; it's pretty easy to get here.

Re: 99 Supercharged NB1 Miata
Welcome!
One day if conquering the world would go optimistically we will have an NB1 board. But only once world conquering progress happens
Hellen is slowly taking off at the moment it makes it pretty doable but still there is time investment part and there is funds investment part.

Re: 99 Supercharged NB1 Miata
Welcome! It sounds like you might enjoy doing some testing when we have the PNPNB1 board in the works. I think it will likely be the next up for the miata after the NB2 and 90-95 cars. For now, you might enjoy a proteus and the adapter board for the 64 pin connector.

Re: 99 Supercharged NB1 Miata
Here's how it looks right now:
Some of the items (not quite calling this the 5yr plan) floating around in my head:
Some of the items (not quite calling this the 5yr plan) floating around in my head:
- Android head unit for user interface stuff (already in place)
- hellen board (sometime after there's one for NB1 ...
and it will need to drive the "e-cool" injector; under boost it squirts in parallel with each cylinder
and for the next 2 years, I have annual smog tests where OBDII needs to work ... so probably replacing the OEM ECU. - flexfuel
(and after that, bigger pulley on the SC!) - high rate GNSS module ... ublox NEO-M9?
for track addict and vehicle tracker
sparkfun has a module that looks good until it turns into a hellen module..
maybe connected both to the hellen via i^2c and to the android via usb - Cat M1 cellular data
- "on board dyno": real time horsepower measurement
strain gauge on the crankshaft, transmitting RPM and torque via bluetooth, translated to CAN on a separate board... - maybe EGT sensors ... via CAN
