Joel has stopped by and progress was made!
We found the ECU! It was located in the passenger footwell Miata NA6 style
ECU pinout wiring colors match the car so we at least have ECU pinout! But not a proper wiring diagram
We get power from ignition switch from pin E29#10. No +12v detected on "Control unit power supply" pin E29#13 so there might be some main relay somewhere.
Problem: internet says that 7 tooth looks like the left wheel at
in reality it looks more like
is that engine compression messing up the shape or is that a different wheel or is that some sort of rusEFI issue?

How hard is it to get eyeballs on the trigger wheel?

If it's VR, try swapping the wires. That looks like a lazy falling edge on a VR sensor...

Yes, VR on microRusEFI

Yes, VR on microRusEFI
on MRE you can just tick the "inverted" box, it has no polarity unlike the max chips

Wow, this car uses high-side main relay control? microRusEFI does not have an easy option so I've simply wires main relay to ignition switch.
https://github.com/rusefi/hw_microRusEfi/issues/204
With only one VR channel on microRusEFI I had to add new "Subaru 7 without 6" trigger wheel shape. TODO
https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/2073
Next step wiring in WBO and we will calibrate this unknown MAF against a known MAF.

Innovate shows either 7 or 22 - please fix that
You want a "GM 3bar" MAP sensor mounted somewhere under the hood.

Joel has just got himself a 2001 740. Do we know what's inside?

TUB engines add intake VANOS (vvt). Two, one per intake cam. Fixed exhaust cams.
