I am working on a plug & play solution for M73
What transmission do you have? Can you please post pictures of what parts of harness your have or not have?
As is it's unclear if you have engine which was on file, engine with all electronics or something in between. Please post a couple of relevant pictures to help us understand the state of your build in terms of engine and transmission control.

You lucky that you are using an M73 so we have a fair bit of knowledge on these between a few people on the forum.
I gather your install is relatively unique but that should not matter too much.
For general information then the wiki is the best place to go.
https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki
If your looking at running an M73 then we only have 1 board that can run them so far and that is the Proteus board. This board is still quite new but the hardware is proven.
Your best option is to join the slack Chanel (details in the wiki).
Regards, Simon.

Do you have two sets of these on your harness? twice 134 total?
please take a pic of this or similar on your harness to confirm that we have same or different wiring.

These pictures are a bit inconclusive. Please confirm exactly if you have two sets of exactly what's on my picture - one set black another set grey.
These could be two ETB controllers and transmission control unit but maybe not.

a list of questions than i need to know?
Q1: Do you have injectors on the engine?
Q1.2: if yes, do you have wires plugged into injectors?
Q2.3: if yes, do you know where for example injector #1 wires currently go to - where do they terminate?
Q2: Do you have 12 spark plug wires going into two distributors or do you plan to run something else for spark?
Q2.2: do you have two ignition coils hanging on engine sides?
Q3: what's the deal with your ETBs facing the wrong way? Did you have clearance issues or what? What exactly is flipped how?

Q1.3 .. IT WILL TAKE ME A WHILE TO SEE WHERE THEY GO BUT CAN DO THIS ON THE WEEKEND IF NEEDED,THEY TERMINATE HERE SOMEWHERE ....
image.png
Q2 .. YES HAVE 12 PLUGS GOING TO 2 DISTRIDUTORS , IT WOULD BE EASIER TO KEEP IT HOW IT IS IF THATS POSSIBLE BUT CAN CHANGE IF NEED BE
Q2.2 .. YES 2 COILS ON ENGINE LOOM

image.png
Q3.. YES HAD TO JUST SWAP THEM FROM FRONT OF ENGINE TO BACK DUE TO CLEARANCE WHEN AIR FILTERS FITTED

Andrey says these four round things are cute CAN bus connectors, not useful for this engine.

had a quick look at car loom and found this, will dig deeper on the weekend
Andrey says this plastic white control unit is body electronics, totally not useful for this project.

Since James has complete donor bmw 750 car in pieces including gauge cluster and everything, my recommendation is to see how well it would run on everything stock.
I assume it would be running good enough since that's not really a track time attack vehicle anyway? rusEFI would only make sense if there is a good reason not to go with OEM electronics.

PS: I was not able to find 1995 wiring diagram

My source has 1997 and 1998 but not 1995 which seems to be a bit different.

by the look of it this is an M73 rather than the M73tu so it is using 3x 88pin connectors.
This one is the reason I was sure Andrey's was 88pin but turned out to be 134pin.
There is a change on the M62 V8 and M73 V12 sometime in the 90s from the 88 pin to the 134.

Hi Jamesuk.
I am doing the same conversion with v12 m70 bmw to un1 Renault gearbox. I could do with some help on the adaptor plate and what flywheel clutch etc u used. Would you make another one or have the template you made?
Kind regards
David.

I am also interested in your plug and play system for bmw v12. Mine is a M70 v12 . Not sure if the connections differ or not. Kind regards

M70 and even early M73 connectors are different, I am not aware of anyone planning to make a PnP harness for M70.
Your best bet is soldering
https://www.ebay.com/itm/333811680319 to match your connectors. Many breakout boards are listed on the bottom of
www.rusefi.com yours is probably 88 pin?
