Hello World of rusefi,

I am very interested in this project, I can't wait to get started. I'm no software guy, but I would be keen to contribute in other ways.

My current project is an engine converted Hyundai Getz. I am in the process of fitting a 2 litre engine from an Elantra. I will be racing it. Details on that are available here https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/les-getz-hyundai-getz-beta-swapped-hill-climber/151655/page1/

Incidentally, GRM is where I found out about rusefi after initially looking into speeduino. You'll notice I change my mind a bit and that I like to complicate things, create problems that don't exist and then set about solving them and do everything myself. The project is at the point that the engine will soon be in the car and I will need to do wiring and engine management.

So I have some questions of course. MRE appeals to me for simplicity and cost but I have some ambitious goals for a couple of things that may mean I need Frankenso or wait for Proteus or maybe Helen? Happy to hear the opinions.

My engine has a couple of things that perhaps won't work too well for MRE so wondering what work arounds exist or could be developed?
-Launch control. Ideally I need a clutch switch input, a potentiometer for adjusting the launch rpm and vehicle speed input for changing the rpm threshold for no lift shift operation. Can switch inputs go into the AN Volt connections? Speed signal is hall so I guess I would need to convert this externally?
-RPM signal to the dash. I only need two of the ignition output channels, could I use another ign output for a signal to the dash? (I haven't checked what it needs yet)
-Knock sensing. My engine has a knock sensor on it, is there a way to use it?
-Idle control. I have a 3 wire stepper type ISC valve. Is it possible to use the ETB outputs for idle speed control?
-Purge control valve. My engine runs a purge solenoid for the charcoal canister. Can I run this via the idle solenoid connection or should I use a GP out?

Looking forward to this adventure.

Hello and welcome!

Current microRusEfi probably does not have enough outputs for you, inputs are probably fine.

No one knows when Proteus or Hellen would be available. I am sure you've seen https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hardware
