Thanks Jimmy for starting up the thread!
I'm looking forward to getting everything all set up this week
If I swapped over to the 60-2 wheel, aren't I going to need to also change the Cas sensor to that type as well?
My power goals, ultimately, will be roughly in the neighborhood of 600 in a different shell and refreshed longblock with a shrick cam. In this shell, I'd be happy with 400whp running what I got. Might take methanol to get there. I believe as long as I stay below 17psi, I shouldn't run into any issues with my piston rings (the stock ring gap is the only limiting factor between stock power and 600 boosted horsepower, before I then need to change out my pistons.)
I still have not verified yet whether or not I have a M30b35 or b34 but in either case I'm still sending it. I am pretty sure it's a b35 as this is a 87 535is chassis.
*edit* it's a M30b34, production date 11/1986 on my vin, so that would indicate M30b34. It's a lower compression than M30b35, so, better for boost.
Tomorrow, or the next day I am adjusting my valve lash and making sure I have a good platform to boost, most maintenance has been done already in recent times. Oil change also will be happening when I tap the oil pain for the turbo drain.
I think all I'm missing right now is just the turbo feed line, but that shouldn't be difficult.
