Replica Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes m120 w140 6.0

Post by ahiles008 »

Hi, my name is Vadim, I'm from Russia.
I am building a replica Lamborghini Murcielago.
Now I have a Mercedes m120 w140 6.0 engine with standard wiring installed.
There are a lot of extra blocks and wires, I would like to do everything beautifully and to a minimum.
Maybe I want to put Rusefi Proteus 0.4. and remove all unnecessary Mercedes parts.

I would be glad if they help me figure it out and give me advice.

Do you have wiring diagrams for this engine and whole car?

I had a very similar huge pile when I got my bmw m73 v12 but I was able to remove 80% and still use OEM ecu. I think you would be able to remove 80% and keep engine happy

I have no diagrams, we deleted a lot of things, but the motor is very complex, I'm afraid it won't work correctly

I believe this is a very simple engine but without diagrams you are blind. in my opinion you should start by finding those diagrams to know what you are looking at.

what year is donor vehicle? what exact cat was the donor?

the s600 car is 94 years old, I do not understand well in electrics, but for example everything works, there are no errors on the motor

they don’t fumble, in these old cars we have, Russia
unless, of course, you cut out all the extra wiring, from abs, tidy and other things, it will be more compact

do I see VVT? I think I see vvt.

after some searching: yes, it's quad cam, and has independent intake VVT on both cams

I found some wiring diagrams and made those available at https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi_documentation/tree/master/oem_docs/Mercedes/M120

You need someone local who would be comfortable reading those diagrams, I am sure that you still have 5 kilograms of wires to remove.
