Weighing all the options and as a hobbyist android developer, linux guy familiar with bash scripting, and electrical project manager for electrical and control systems out on Cape Canaveral for space program infrastructure, I am pretty sure I can handle flashing and programming a microrus ecu.
The options I have are dropping 1200ish bucks on a thundermaxx or RusEFI. I run my phones on open source roma and favor open source on my computers in general and thus add a principle point to the cost points of RusEFI.
I would like to know if there is already developed firmware for my application, and would be greatful if someone could dump what I need in comments. My bike had no factory O2 sensors but I am getting the wide band controller and plan to add those to the bike. While not a welder I can weld and have one
I am at "ugly but sound" stage in my welding journey. Contribution wise I wrote some scripting that converts thundermaxx, S&S VFI, PowerVision, or SE Racetuner maps/tunefiles to each other for people switching from one system to another.
I would also like information on the file format and structure of tunefiles/mapping for RusEFI to add it to the conversion program.
I think the ability for potential users to take the tunefile from their current flash tuners to what they need in RusEFI would help to increase the amount of people going to RusEFI.
On a side note I am building a supercharger that puts up to 12 pounds of boost on the motor. Has anyone here integrated wideband map sensors t increasing fuel with boost pressure and wastegate control? If I get a microRus is it capable of ⁶⁵
adding these?
