Hello,

i am new to this forum and have registered to find the right ECU for my build.
First some words to me, I am Martin from Germany and I have some experience with MS2 and MS3 an my Chevy V8, so I can say I know a little bit about it.

So no I have an old Porsche SC from 82 with the K-Jetronic and the Distributor. Her I want to change this to a fuel injection and a CoP Setup.
I want to keep the setup nice, clean and simple.
I have buy an manifold from the 3,2 with an single throttle body and also find some CoP that fit my engine very well.
I only want to build in an crankshaft sensor (36-2) so I will connect opposite Injector and CoP together.
So I think I need:
3 Inj. out
3 IGN out
MAP in
MAT in
CLT in
TPS in
O2 in
FuelPump out
IDLE Valve (2 or 3 wire)
Tacho out
VR or Hall in

I want to build in the ECU in the side of the engine bay... so the MS3 Extra with the old com connector is not what I am looking for.
And so I have search for some other stuff and find your very cool hardware.
Very very nice.

What you you think... what ECU is a good chose for my car?
What setup would you choose?
Have a nice day.
Martin

What's about the MICRORUSEFI?
I read that it is only for 4 cylinder engine, but if I only want to run it in batch fire and wasted spark?

Have a nice day

Good morning,

i have a closer look to rusEFI and specially the microRusEFI because I finde the box very best fit for my 911.
So for my me first question is can I use this EFI in batch fire and wasted spark.
I download the .ini for this and have a closer look on TunerStudio. I also find a ready to use setup for the 911SC on your side :-)
Ignition:

I can change this to Wasted Spark, nice. So for me it is easy... I set the firing order to 1-6-2-4-3-5 and than but
1/4 on Ignition 1
6/3 on Ignition 2
2/5 on Ignition 3
I think this is okay.

I can change this to batch, also nice. On the hardware page you say: Use only half of the outputs for batch mode...
The first 911 3,2 have batch cylinder 1&2&3 and 4&5&6 together... so only only group. Did I understand your code right, if I change to Batch mode I half the outputs form 6 to 3 so I have to group the injectors I 3 groups on a 6 cylinder engine?
And than the EFI squirt like the spark in wasted spark 2 times per engine cycle?

So I would also group the injectors as the ignition 1/4 and 6/3 and 2/5.

Please can you confirm that this is okay and I can run the microRusEFI on my 6 cylinder engine like that. So I would give it a try and as you say... you need some support... I would document this hole process here.. the build and also the setup... and give you some hints were I did not understand the wiki.... :-)

Have a nice day
Martin

6 injectors require more current than 4 injectors

Ah okay, i understand and see... you use the 2.2A Stage of the TLE8888... so if i connect 2 Injecors at one output, this can be a problem...
my injectors are about 15ohms so the are less than 1A... but the current at the on moment can be a problem. :-(
to bad, I have to look for another ECU... okay
