Hi all,

Stock 5V hall sensor on uaefi board, connected to c17 with 4k7 r1 populated.
Ecu reads rpm fine on idle and above but it doesnt sync at cranking rpm.
Tooth log is ok, no noise.
TS_log_cranking.mlg.csv
tooth_log_cranking.csv
any help is appreciated, thank you

Just adjusted trigger decoder a bit, you would need to run firmware snapshot or apply same values via trigger gap override dialog

Thank You!

It is already registering the cranking rpm correctly.
There are 2 16k rpm spikes at first syncing, have tried 4 times with same outcome.
After that, rpm is stable in tunerstudio.

Okay, it is working fully. I have had to disable faster engine spin-ups in cranking settings.
I guess that 90° approximation was calculating false rpms. Now it works fine.

nice :)

I have tried manual trigger gap override, did not sync at all.

shouldnt there be 4.88 instead of 488?

thank you

strange, now it doesnt sync with updated fw.

https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?log=1431

I have tried extreme trigger gap overrides - max at 20, then it synced a few times but had errors all over the place.
Tooth log is stable, signals are arriving correctly. Have tried differrent hall sensors, same result.

Strangely enough the typoed 488 worked fine at low rpm until 2400.

:(

trigger sync latest ratio 0 is always 20+ from my logs.
Maybe there is a setting that i have overlooked?
or if the wheel is mirrored/rotating in the other direction.. it might explain the 20-25x gap ratio. that way cca 6° between 2 rising edges and cca 120-130° between next 2.

okay, i have triple checked, the small tooth is at the other end of the gap.
that explains the ratio and the behavior.
The gaps are 0-134-314 falling. Ratios i am not sure about. Maybe 1,343(sync)/0,256/2,913?

same as here;

Here is another photo of the engine with flywheel on.

Please excuse my lack of skill in software, i know that only the vw trigger decoder angles have to be adjusted but i could not succesfully compile the firmware in cygwin.

Could You please change the trigger angles in the new version?

thank you

I do not have resources to work on this :( Please consider joining discord and asking the community for help with compilation or the whole change.

I have corrected the angles, behaves the same, only allows a bit higher rpm. I am not able to proceed further into the fw.
Thank You for the help. I will be watching the new releases, i hope it gets fixed in the future.
