Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
Hi!
I have question about how to pin configurate pins in RusEfi.
I'm using firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4.
How i should configure the pins? IGN 1,2,3 etc. and INJ 1,2,3 etc.
What pins for what cylinder coil or injector should be configurate?

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
Can anyone help with this? Is RusEfi firing INJ 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc.? and I just need to configurate as my firing order?
Like if INJ 1 correspond to cyl 1 and INJ 2 correspond to cylinder 5.
Thanks!

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
Cylinders are usually numbered from the end with pulleys/belts. You have separate firing order setting on your first picture to account for firing order.

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
The question is that is RusEfi runs like injector nr 1 then injector nr2 or it looks at firing order? if firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4
it will fire configurated injector nr1 then nr 5 etc. ?
I'm bit confused because i was using Speeduino before and i just need to map inj like nr1 is cylinder 1 and inj2 is in my firing order cylinder 5.
Thanks!

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
rusEFI is clearly asking you to specify firing order so that you can just hook hardware As Numbered from the end with pulleys without breaking your mind which cylinder is third in the firing sequence.

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
“As numbered from the end with pulleys” isn’t always true on V engines. Some MFG use various other schemes, including your BMW V12.

Hopefully the current message is legit for 90% of the applications. How would you phrase this blue message to help with the confusion like in this thread?

Re: Injector and Ignition Pin Mapping
As is, that message is more confusing than no message at all.
I'd write something like "wire each output to the corresponding cylinder number, rusEFI handles firing order"
I'd write something like "wire each output to the corresponding cylinder number, rusEFI handles firing order"
