Injector phase, -180 or 400

I'm trying to figure out why my Beer Money ECU base map has an injector phase of -180. As a friend recently mentioned, "-180 seems odd, since I believe that would be after the intake valve closes." And also, "For injector timing, -180 = 540 degrees as its a 720 degree 4 stroke engine." I'm reading an informative thread at https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquirt-18/itt-injector-timing-table-tuning-84981/ but haven't gotten all the way through because of a work issue for the past week. But I'm wondering about the origin of the -180 phase.
Ken and I worked hard to get a steady afr of 11.8ish at WOT with new Flowforce 725cc injectors but the car does not feel as powerful as it did before the new ecu. I just replaced the walbro 190lph fuel pump, which crapped out, luckily for me, in my driveway. I went with a new one so maybe that has something to do with it. Headed out for a drive now.
My most recent tune and data log were uploaded to Online last week.
