hyperdesktop upload issue

I was using hyperdesktop 1.0.3.9 for a while and now it does not work on my primary desktop and it kills me!
a) my desktop is Windows 7 64-bits edition
b) it has worked before
c) it works on other PCs in the same network - the issue seems to be local for my desktop
d) I have this tool working on my Windows 7 laptop on the same network
e) I have 'Simple, fast screenshot sharing' which (is it's name in the firewall list) allowed to communicate in Windows Firewall
Still, once I hit OK in the app I get 'Failed to communicate to the server'
I am probably missing something trivial. Any ideas?
