Thanks for the information !! I didn't think about it, looks like there is a 160Hz input filter

Re: 97 Miata MRE (turboz)

I think the MRE is limited by the INI file.

I tune my INI file in order to add AV2 as trigger input, and it looks to work fine.

I am sure it is possible to use any AV input for 5V VSS input.

If your VSS signal is VR signal (sine wave) you need an external VR conditioner before MRE.

Re: Discrete components VR decoder with zero firmware code

I finally receive the little boards :D :D IMG_20201224_124835.jpg But it isn't a success  I made a wrong wiring with capacitors before resistors in input, TV5 before 10K resistors and 0.00V threshold. Hum, I know that STM32 is 5V tolerant only for Digital in. But canbus is sort of digital. I don't try it, because I don't want to kill the STM32. But I have a second board with no through hole components and plug. I will try canbus on it ! :D :D If it don't work, I will try 3.3v soldering on ...

Re: Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)

Are you sure about the idle valve ? Did you check it ? On NA it is really common a bad idle valve.

For the 20kPa, you can set the same value that 30kPa and keep 20kPa line. You can tune it later.

Re: Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)

In the log, you have trigger errors. There is a problem somewhere, the cam sensor wire is fine ? Have you set the 20kPa in fuel VE table ? This line looks set too low to me, but I can be wrong. Maybe try to set the 20kPa line like 30kPa. But for sure, we need the logs of the deceleration in order to...

Re: Full JLC PCB

Just for information. This board is a big fail. I put 5v for VIO on the canbus chip... The canbus can't be use, the stm32 is 5V tolerant only for digital input. I have set the battery input voltage on a non ADC pins  And lot of shits like that... The EGT chip gives nothing, it is a fata...

Here is a more advanced board. I go with OP07 and a LM393. Discrete Sexyjpg.jpg Schematic_Discrete_2020-12-06_03-03-06.png Discrete Price.jpg The price is for 5 boards with components, pretty good, the price of 5 MAX9924 chips. Thanks :D I realise after lol, the habit from Slack  I wanted to upload the asc files, but I had to zip it.

I want to try the OP07 from texas instrument, I don't succeed in using it in LTspice because of lack of inputs, there is internal offset tuning, and it is a basic part !

I tested the simulation with LTspice, it is a bit difficult to find the components from jlc-smt, so I use a universal OPamp, I think the MCP6002 will act the same. Here it is : 100mV.jpg 2V 50K.jpg 2V 200K.jpg 100V.jpg The tests are with 50K and 200K on the mosfet, the 200K allows 100mV detection, s...

Re: Discrete components VR decoder

Wow ! Thanks :D :D :D It isn't possible to have software VR ? I mean, a small amp for converting 0-150v into 0-3.3v and tune trigger and hysteris by software. Maybe a standalone stm32 ? I think it is doable for Knock sensing, with an ADC microphone. Mck117 is right, discrete from MS3 < LM1815 < NCV ...

Re: Discrete components VR decoder

Sorry... I take a look to Kicad, and I just can't. I can do it with easyEDA if you want. I think that MMBT5401 can certainly replace ZTX553, I don't think 2A is usefull for VR and 150v probably better. The LM2904DR2G can certainly replace MC34072 who is basic part. Old megasquirt used LM2904. The on...

It works well in megasquirt, there is two adjustable pots by VR channel.

That's right ! Absolutely no problem for sequential COP on 6 cylinders on microrusefi, I don't want wasted spark, it is more stress for coils, and they are limited for my use. But I will try full sequential for injectors, I can't test the outputs for now, but I don't know why it will be wrong at low...

Re: EFI for small engines

Why do you want so much CDI ignition coils ? The RusEFI ECU actually use the TC4427 for ignition control, it can be use in 5V or 12v and is really powerfull. It can control high impedance COP from volkswagen groups, like R8 coils, something that megasquirt, or VEMS, can't do (and a lot more) Some sp...

I take a look to the 0.5.3 corrected PNG, and it looks like every thing is populated on the top side, except R86, so I can use AV6 for one injector, through TLE_OUT12_PRE in tuner studio. Re: EFI for small engines

I am a little confused about PL2303SA , does the STM32 doesn't have onboard usb ? The tacho out can be taken from smart coils. No need of more than 2 high side. It's a funny board, but why put energy in it ? For price ? And on paper, there isn't a lot of difference between speeduino and RusEFI. One ...

Re: Swapping over to RUSefi, 5v tolerance?

I am very confused. There are three kinds of signals: analog inputs - totally not 5v tolerant digital inputs - kind of OK to feed 5v digital outputs - you would only output 3v so which of those do you need when and why? reminder that we have two non stm32 platforms available on rusEFI - Kinetis and...

The goal is dash control (speedo, tacho and boost gauge) with additional sensors, like EGT and knock.
