Re: VR emulator for board soldering validation
I dont know if this helps or not but I have been checking simply using an old vr abs sensor on a couple of pins to push onto the vr input pins and a fork to wiggle it between, this is able to make the ecu at least see a real rising falling of a vr and so far no issues. Very low tech but it has been ...

andreka That sounds like it is trying to load the SD card but is failing and getting stuck in a loop. What happens if you leave it and wait? Before Matt made some improvements it would do that if the physical pins were bad on the SD card socket but would then connect after a wait. All of the bricki...

Re: MAF vs Speed Density, why do we prefer which one?
Our maf is done in a way that the number in the table is equivalent to a correction %.
The maf algorithm calculates cylinder filling and the table is only there to be able to calibrate out resonance, inaccuracies and other effects.

Numbers taken from the log so accounting for all corrections before injection. It is a medium amount of fuel, if you were traveling at 60 mph it would be 4.5mpg. It is enough to make it worth checking fuel pressure for drops and for me to look at other logs and see if there is a pattern above that f...

Re: Auto-tune does not produce good results
As a bench mark it is about 15kw to spin a 600cc engine to 6k. But that is steady state and ignoring what we are seeing here. You need very little power to maintain the speed of the crank, you need a lot more power to accelerate the crap out the crank in a short period of time. By the same argument ...

Are we looking at these injectors: https://www.bosch-motorsport.com/content/downloads/Raceparts/Resources/pdf/Data%20Sheet_67797771_Injection_Valve_EV_14.pdf If so, is that 630cc the bosch rating or one the supplier has given? I ask because bosch rate their injectors using N-heptane which has a diff...

Re: Auto-tune does not produce good results
oooh, I strongly second the fuel pressure sensor. If your fuel pressure is dropping due to a lack of flow under boost then you will see the VE wind up as it tries to give more fuel but cannot as the flow rate of the injectors is dropping with the pressure. This might also explain your 6000rpm "...

Re: MAF vs Speed Density, why do we prefer which one?
Its a 100% MAP/speed density job for the turbo vw. MAF is good but tuning MAF for boost is much harder. Edit - for clarity MAP and speed density is generally better for turbo cars as it captures the increased pressure better than a MAF system. MAF is better at getting an accurate picture of the amou...

Foggy lights can be fixed very easy, you need 1500 grit film pads ($25 for 50) and some Meguires 105 cut compound ($15). Sand and polish to desired finish. Can do both in about and hour. If you want them really shiny hit them with a diminishing compound like their "ultimate compound" after...

Had a look at the logs, you seem to be cranking until you build up enough fuel to start. Try setting your "fuel base mass (mg)" to about 35 and try again. I will take another look at the log once you have had a chance to try that one change. I think most of the other settings are good enou...

Re: red 2003 VVT test mule Miata NB2 #27
If you have to apply pedal to get it to cold start try either removing some fuel or adding some IAC. This is often an issue that the AFR is too rich on cold start or the engine overall needs more air for decent cylinder filling for starting.

Re: Моё Чудо ... VW Passat B4 ABA ... #16
Some general tuning comments: Tcharge should probably set to the basic RPM+TPS mode for now. Coolant fuel multiplier curve is quite extreme. Try setting it to a smooth slope that has zero correction by 50 deg C. IAT fuel multipler is wrong, set it to flat 1 for now as 1.2 is giving 20% extra fuel at...

There are a lot of notes here about the different variants of 60-2 trigger wheels, it's seems they are not all equivalent and the signal from a VR and Hall are not equivalent for all of the wheel. https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/issues/988 I think step one in any decision process here should be to ...

If you open the case and hold the ECU with the plug at the top, the two VNLD drivers are on the top right above the large square TLE chip.

just to confirm a couple of things, I checked out the MRE drivers for batch injection a while back. They are OK for 2 injectors at about 14ohms but 3 injectors is nogo. Looked into it for the stock e30 injector wiring. If you have an MRE with the "aux reuse" additional lowside drivers then...

For initial running you can leave that valve open, you will loose a bit of low end torque but it should be fine.
Same kind of thing they used on the porshe and bmw engines.

Modifying Citroen Throttle sensor for rusEFI
There are cheap and readily available (in europe) cable driven redundant pedal sensors from the Peugeot and Citroen HDI engines. These will make for cheap and light sensors to convert older cars to ETB. In stock form they are designed to be driven from a regulated 12v directly from the OEM ECU. In o...

Have you got a returnless fuel rail on the M54?
If so one of your ways around this might be to add a fuel pressure sensor.

Right now nowhere but that will not knock out the on board USB mini.
I can say that with confidence as the fine wire on my test loom has broken so the connector USB is currently not connected to earth but it all still works fine when powered up via 12v.

It's possible but I would think unlikely, I hook them up to 12v and connect to TS to set the self stim before scoping the ignition outputs of the TLE. That means at some point it was able to handle 12v and USB connection. With that said, that is number 18 and I just sent out 24 so it has been out in...

Dude, WTF?
Your requesting the ECU give 50ms extra fuel all over the place. It's no wonder the AFRs in your logs are totally haywire.
You have to find out what a setting does before changing them at random. There is a reason the TPS delta map is set the way it is as default.

OK, first immediate issue is that the wire in plug USB will not work unless you follow the wiring notes in this video: https://youtu.be/4v2VnP-YdlQ That should not affect your direct to board USBmini connection though. So.... Installing the drivers on win 7 is a good idea as I don't think win 7 will...
