I implemented some of this back in December. Let me see what I can do.

Re: CJ125 board
I'm about to replace my turbo/modify my exhaust anyway, so I'd be happy to add a second O2 bung and test it out along side my AEM 30-4110 wideband, which also uses a Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor. Where'd the people with working cj125 boards source their cj125? The only place I'm able to find one is at Futur...

Re: 1990 Volvo 240DL
For the instrument panel signals, would those just be driven by FSIO? The only thing that the ECU drives in the stock cluster is the check engine light. SInce I also converted from a single coil to a wasted-spark coil pack, I also had to run a separate wire for the tachometer. Are the injectors bat...

Re: 1990 Volvo 240DL
Okay, so I understand that I have two computers. The LH2.4 fuel computer and a EZK ignition computer. Are both these boxes in the same place? Both ECUs are next to each other, up against the firewall on the passenger side of the car. What sort of wiring mods need to be done to the harness? Other th...

Re: 1990 Volvo 240DL
Yes! More Volvo content! I think you're #3, #2 keeping the original engine. My '93 wagon is turbo swapped, and Ford T5 gearbox swapped, along with some suspension changes. I have ~1500 miles on my RusEfi swap, and 2500 miles on MegaSquirt 2 before that. The wiring wasn't too terrible on mine. The cr...

Re: UK Mazda MX5 miata NB 1.8'99 - Future Turbo project r0.5
1. VE table - when I increase the values does it practically mean I increase the amount of fuel injected into the engine? Yes. The way that speed-density fuel injection works is that the computer estimates the density of air in the intake, then the VE (volumetric efficiency) gives what percentage o...

Re: 1992 Volvo 245 with a surprise
Hooray, another Volvo wagon! I'm running rusefi on my 1993 240 Classic, albeit with the original b230, plus a turbo and a t5 manual transmission. Hey same! Mines a 1992, however. I’ve heard there’s some finagling involved with the FI computer and the ignition computer. Any idea how you’ll start the...

Nope, it's offset from TDC, just like ignition timing. The timing offset changes the offset on anything that's timed to the crank rotation.NBytevenom wrote:Does injection phase listen to timing offset?
My CPS is relocated, so I had to change my timing offset to -2. Should I also change the injection offset to -2?

Re: 1993 Volvo 240 Turbo #30
Well, after maybe 100 miles of driving on RusEfi, I took a road trip from Atlanta to Surf City, NC for the weekend. About 450 mile drive. Cruised at 70-80, got about 23-25 mpg. Not too bad for a meh quality tune, a turbo, all terrain tires, and too high a 5th gear ratio. That's great news! What AFR...

Re: 1993 Volvo 240 Turbo #30
Finally, an update! Many months ago I bought an assembled a Frankenso v0.4, and this past week I finally reworked my harness to run it. Look ma, no distributor! In the process, I converted to sequential fuel and wasted spark. The little aluminum machined b...

Re: Firmware developent status
I believe you can install Windows on them as well. Under some loose definition of Windows, yes. It's a heavily chopped down version that can only run a single app (universal windows apps only) at a time, and has no support for traditional win32 apps (arm-none-eabi-g++, for example will not run). If...

Re: stm32f4 MPU module LQFP 208
A preliminary inspection looks like a reasonable number of pins overlap between SDRAM and pins used on Frankenso. Something like 15 pins overlap, mostly in port E, and more importantly PC0/2/3. After the SDRAM, there aren't too many more pins left over, so it's probably reasonable to keep the same f...

Re: stm32f4 MPU module LQFP 208
Yeah, those seem like reasonable reasons to include an external flash, especially with how obscenely cheap it is. That then unlocks the possibility of having the tune just stored as a file, so you can keep a history of every tune you've ever saved. Also you can deploy a tune with just the file brows...

Do we want the flash as well, or just the SRAM?
The flash isn't near full on the 407VG, and the 469BI has 2MB flash.

Re: Wreck Racing rusEfi Board
The switching regulator we have on Frankenso is something like $2. Is it really important if you could drop that to something like $1.50? If this was a high qty, sure that matters. But for low production, I think the extra cost is fine. Actually, because it's low quantity I think the opposite is tr...

Some feedback. Also keep in mind anything I can do can do nothing more than make it stronger :) Generally you want a ground flood. Barriers on floods is very rarely any better than a full flood. You should spend more time placing the chips, then placing the traces. See this page for some suggestion...

Very nice very nice. Is your board layout something you can and are willing to share? If so I can offer a design review. More eyes can decrease the number of spins. I'm sure you have found the wiki, but have you found the page which notes the design intent's of the hardware? If not here's a link. h...

1993 Volvo 240 Turbo #30
Hello all! Story time. I'm a computer science student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and I'm part of the Wreck Racing club. We build a car to compete in the Grassroots Motorsports $20xx Challenge. The premise is similar to that of LeMons racing, where we build an autocross and drag car for under the cu...
