Re: The Lemon and Beer Money Motorsports
Progress update! The lemon has been running on different hellens for some time now! First with the prototype Hellen72 with an adapter to my na6 harness. Was able to confirm both knock detection and wideband operation!!! I now have it on a prototype Hellen64 but have not tested the knock and wbo yet....

Re: 99 Supercharged NB1 Miata
Welcome! It sounds like you might enjoy doing some testing when we have the PNPNB1 board in the works. I think it will likely be the next up for the miata after the NB2 and 90-95 cars. For now, you might enjoy a proteus and the adapter board for the 64 pin connector.

Unfortunately i cant measure worth a damn, so the holes are a bit off. Used a drill bit and then step drill.

Sounds good. Yes, the NA6 AUTO trans cars used vtps. Manual trans na6 was an on/off switch basically. 94 and up are all vtps.

Re: Hellen72 WBO and other connections
I would not want to see any cutting to make it work. I was thinking an adapter harness with outputs.
For instance, na6 maf to gm IAT. I would want it to have the ability to wire in the iat and the boost solenoid minimum. See other pic below of how i usually do it.

Hellen72 WBO and other connections
I was thinking that we should consider having a better way of connecting to the onboard WBO. the current connector requires opening the case to connect it and you still have to come up with your own wiring. My initial thought is to have the board output them on the stock o2 terminals but that only c...

Re: 1993 Manual Swapped NA6 Miata
Hey Cheerio! A couple of things needed from you. 1- With your stock ecu, you are probably experiencing an issue related to the TPS. They are different from manual to auto. You should actually be able to use the auto ecu even though its a manual car. That is how i have always done them. 2- Please tak...

Re: Closed Loop idle issues
i have looked a little. How can i tell if the tune i am looking at is actually a working tune and not just something that was uploaded needing help?
Ultimately we need to have a solid base tune for all users to get started with ALONG with proper descriptions in Tuner Studio.

Hellen72 on NA6????
Yeah, sounds silly right? Needed to test a Hellen72 but only had an NA6 to test on. The car is my "lemon" with a built 1.8 and gtx3071r. I purchased a pigtail for NB2 and wired it to a NA6 BOB. I have done enough MS wireups that it wasnt too big of a deal to get it going. I have put about ...

Re: Closed Loop idle issues
Having the idle VE and timing tables populated with some sort of base in the stock tunes would be helpful. When you are given basically a blank graph, its hard to know which way to go.

Something with a minimum of 4 bar capability and the ability to have a barometric pressure sensor as well? Worst case offer the ability to upgrade to a different sensor and utilize the mpx4250ap as the barometric sensor.

Re: The Lemon and Beer Money Motorsports
I have acquired the STM32 programmer. Will probably need some guidance on how to use it. I’m willing to do anything needed to further improve functionality and made issues like this a simple fix in the future. I think it’s key to understand how my simple mistake escalated to a bricked module.

Re: The Lemon and Beer Money Motorsports
I was thinking it would require a wipe and reload of the firmware.
Right now i have some connection to it by booting with the program button pressed. It shows STM device in DFU under Universal Serial Bus. Working on acquiring the STM32Cubeprogrammer now.

Re: The Lemon and Beer Money Motorsports
1- I did this because i was ignorant to the built in tunes.
2- I used one uploaded by beufa 2021-01-27
could this be due to mismatch in signatures or some other occurance?

I have that printed out and that is what I’m going off of. Need to double check my chassis wiring to confirm I have sequential on the main ecu connectors and not on the MS options port. It has been a hot minute since I did the harness.
Here’s a pic of the soldered board and a toasty doggo.
