I had once repaired an ECU from a 1.8t with an LSU 4.2 and it used CJ110 ic that is the same thing as CJ125 but only supports LSU4.2. So it seems they don't all use CJ125 for both types of sensors.

Re: Forester SF SOHC
Are you sure that your trigger wheel is 36-2-2-2? I have an Ej20 SOHC from a Forester '02 in my Impreza and its using Subaru 6/7 trigger wheels.

Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!
PC would be overkill for a case. PETG is the sweet spot. Can tolerate at least 75C, fairly easy to print, can withstand load, doesn't brake easily. PLA is no good even for in cabin installations. In the engine bay it would deform after first run. Στάλθηκε από το CLT-L09 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

Re: Odd fire engine support?
Under ignition settings you'll find per cylinder ignition trim. There you can offset your #2 cylinder by any number of degrees.

Re: microRusEfi
Those measurements look fine unfortunately so this dead ic remains a mystery.

Re: microRusEfi
Russian said that it died while he was taking voltage measurements of 12V and 5V but there is no way he could have killed like that. Even if his body had built up static charge and it discharged through the board it should not have killed it since the chip was soldered on the board and all its pins ...

Re: microRusEfi
@russian Could you try some more measurements? Set the DMM in voltage drop mode, the one with the diode symbol. Connect the red lead to a ground and take measurements with the black lead. Measure both ends of C3 that connects to pin 95 and pin 90. Do the same measurement on pin 1 and pin 3 of Q1. @k...

Re: hip9011 integration
I looked around for other implementations of the HIP9011/TPIC8101 ICs and from what I can see no one is using a crystal for clock. They all seem to use external clock from the CPU. Both chips are clones of each other and they both support xtal, ceramic resonators and external clocks as their clock i...

Re: CJ125 board
In Bosch technical information datasheet is says this 4.3.2 System measures: - Never switch on sensor heating resp. control unit before engine start. - Delay of sensor heater start or reduced heater power (see section 1.6) The heating strategy is explained in section 1.6. I can't copy the image. Her...

Re: CJ125 board
I too know many people that run aftermarket widebands without issues. It's not like this a 100% failure rate but its always better to be safe than sorry. After all Bosch is the designer and manufacturer of the sensor, they should know better. Condensation damage has a lot to do with the car setup. I...

Re: CJ125 board
Bosch speaks of "effective voltage" in their datasheet that I guess is their way to say PWM driven with a duty cycle that equals to 2V DC. I think it is safer to not drive the heater at all before engine start like they say though. 15% PWM sounds great for warm up after engine start. To ma...

Re: CJ125 board
All over the internet there are stories about aftermarket wideband kits with their LSU 4.9 sensor failing very fast. Most people are lucky if they last a year. Some are failing after hours. From the information I have gathered on the net it seems that the strategy of driving the heating element is w...

Hello from Greece
Hello everyone, I'm Dimitri from Greece. I'm an electronics repair technician so as you understand soldering boards is like second nature to me. I have a Subaru Impreza '99 with an EJ20 NA engine. The car came originally with an EJ161 but I swapped it with an EJ20 from a Forester I found cheap in a ...
