Re: Proteus - Waterproof, High-feature ECU!
When you say partially assembled, what's left to assemble when you receive the boards from China? I'm interested in this board for a Gen3 Hemi and perhaps a HellCat engine using one DBW for the main TB and the second DBW to control the boost valve. The Hellcat also uses multiple MAP sensors. I test ...

I just need to finish setting up the electric motor on the water pump to run the 5.7L Hemi on the dyno. Got 2 more dynos this week! Sorry!

Re: Canada coming in loud and fast
Sorry to reply so late! If you have cheap engines to test detonation with, I can put the test engine on my engine Dyno. My Engine dyno season is over now and I can play with stuff until February (dyno seasons starts in February and ends in July). I will also start my own project with a gen 3 Hemi bu...

Re: big block Mercedes
On that coil, do you have an explanation / schematic about what "A - Trigger" and "B - signal return" are? A- is the 5V trigger from the ECU B- is the GND from the ECU C- Common GND to engine D- Battery Ground E- Constant 12V from battery. The ECU triggers charging by triggering...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
Sounds cool. Do you know the connector? If you have the time, patience, etc, we could spin a board that specifically works with gen3's. It would make it much more plug and play. Is that a reasonably goal, or do they change the harness / connector to often to make that a reality. It might be good to...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
Sweet. I understand the 1997 was pre-traction controls and such. I seem to recall that in something like 2000 they added inertial controls which made it much easier to drive with out spinning it around I understand you have so much HP that it likes to spin around when you might not expect it. You h...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
I own a Viper Which year? I want to see how ECU plugs look like so that I can buy something similar to make a PnP adapter and show up with it one day. Something tells me you are not driving said Viper to US too often? :) I have a 1997 GTS Viper. Let me take pictures of it next time I get to it (it ...

It's a 70s engine so I assume not stock cam trigger wheel? What is the name of that part you are using for cam? Please note as is your board one input is set to VR another one to Hall - you say both are VR you would need to modify 2nd channel - remove one 1.5K resistor add one 0R resistor - http://...

Sounds like a cool project and sounds like you have a good handle on it. If you need any help figuring out the wiring or anything like that feel free to ask. I have experience with this using Megasquirt. I will probably need some help on the tuning like the timing with the reluctor crank and cam wh...

By the way, here's a video of the Mopar car show I organise every year with dyno session demos. I organise the show around the weekend of September 16-17 every year. It's a one day event. If my car is ready, I will sure make a demo using the rusEcu with one of my 5.7 Hemi engine. Everyone in this gr...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
Even if the fuel pump were not on a switch, it could be part of the main relay. Sounds like there is enough native IO. Was this Frankenso? Does it use an OEM harness of some sort, or are you doing the harness from scratch? Do you mean a 60-2 that would have 58 teeth, at a 60 tooth spacing. A 60-2 w...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
That's a sweet combo! Mopar for the win! The numbers posted look very healthy for an NA build. I see COPs, port injection and single throttle body. All easily controlled. What's your trigger setup? Are you running WBO2 sensors? Exhaust gas temp sensors? I got one engine with the 58-2 teeth trigger ...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
These are COPs but not smart COPs so we would have igniters externally to be begin with. I assume we would run out of 12 Frankenso outputs pretty fast 1 fuel pump relay 2 main relay 3 radiator fan 4 idle valve check engine light oooops Since I'm running a race car, I can control the fuel pump relay...

Re: 1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
Why the add-on board? I see 8 low side drivers for the injectors, and 8 hi/low drivers driving the COP's. I'm assuming the COP's have integrated igniters. I see that as frankenso native. Is there other IO that I don't know about? Was this a frankenso or Frankenstein board? The COPs are not smart co...

For igniters we only have single-chip http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=286 Looks like better go with external igniters to begin with but I would be curious to see how these little ones would perform, let's plan this for one day later :) I have these ignitors in stock I can use: https...

1970 Hemi Cuda with Gen 3 Hemi V8 engine
I just place my order for a rusefi ECU board. I will play with it on my Gen 3 Hemi setup on our Engine Dyno: https://www.facebook.com/klodusperformance/videos/1373264112685509/ I will install the engine with the rusefi ECU in my 1970 Hemi Cuda (drag car). I will let the forum know about the progress...
