Re: Proteus and Mercedes M137 V12 (Hellen M113k config)
Sorry just now saw this. https://github.com/rnd-ash/ultimate-nag52-fw/blob/main/lib/egs52_ecus/can_data.txt This is an ok start on deciphering the CAN messages. As you may have figured out by now, EIS can function without the MB ECM; I believe Alex's setup was originally a ME2.0/1 (Pre-2000), but it...

Re: Hellen128 on a Mercedes E320 W210 M104 probably 1996 or 1997
It runs? Tbh I've been caught up in other projects and stuff to do much with it. It still needs tuning, it's running ancient firmware, and the car itself is mega-dodgy. Shift quality is medium ok. I never got around to trying to implement TQ requests in lua. NAG52 sends out the requests, and RE blis...

Re: Hellen128 on a Mercedes E320 W210 M104 probably 1996 or 1997
What platform are you doing this on? Hellen128 is specifically late run 96/97 model year W210/W202/W140/R129 with one singular ME2.0/1 unit. If you're replacing 93-95 units out of W124/W202/W140/R129 with the multi-unit HFM & ISC module, it's a bit more complicated, and as far as I know, RUSEFI ...

Like and subscribe for more content updates. The actual harness for this application is fairly rare, it's a one year only configuration, 99 CLK430. Right now I've got a 98-99 E320 Harness, 98-99 CLK320, 00-02 CLK320, 00-02 CLK430. Just laying the 98/99 CLK320 harness on top of the CLK430 motor revea...

Benzmaxing CLK 320 5.0
Because I don't have any sense whateversoever, I'm disimproving another car. It's a 2001 (2000?) W208 CLK 320 with a M112 V6. I was going to M104 swap it eventually, but after some measuring, I've realized it's going to be way easier and cheaper to V8 swap it to get maybe the same power. Depending o...

Re: Engine Torque Request (Transmission Interfacing)
Short version is I'm testing this on two imperfect cars, and haven't found a good way to correlate the logs. However there are still some useful takeaways. PnP is very convenient. Physically, NAG52 will work on any 722.6, but tuning is still a WIP. Ashcon is working on a new revision that will inclu...

Engine Torque Request (Transmission Interfacing)
My understanding is that Rusefi doesn't operate on an engine torque model, and that the Bosch ME2.x systems do. I assume atleast a few other electronic transmission/engine combinations are similar. The 722.6 Controllers I'm working with send out a CAN message to ask the engine to back off torque dur...

Re: W124 E320 Wagon M104 [Proteus]
I'm seeing conflicting information about TB bore size, and I can't seem to find my micrometer, but hasty tape measuring showed a 01 M113 4.3 TB bore to be about the same size as a 94 E320, somewhere in the ballpark of 70-75 mm. You'd either need a spacer plate or some modding to get clearance, but o...

Re: Hellen128 on a Mercedes E320 W210 M104 probably 1996 or 1997
I filled out a survey form and went through a process he was doing for the early beta testers. I think if you just emailed Ashcon directly, he'd work something out. https://github.com/rnd-ash has most of his contacts. Total aside to Rusefi, but you have to do a shifter mod to convert 96-99 shifters ...

Now that spring semester is over, I can get back to making my cars actively worse.
I've replaced the TCM with NAG52. I've done a quick test drive around the block, but I'm planning to take a longer drive after traffic clears up and see if I can't get some D A T A.

How K R E A T I V do you want to get? Swapping your TB to a 96+ TB which is fully DBW would only require the TB swap and adding in the pedal position sensor from a W202 or W210.

Q1: The stock m112/3 coilpack is two coils with a common power pin. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure what would happen if you ran the coils in parallel off a single ignitor channel, but I don't think it is a good idea. I believe you can still trigger them off a single input from the ECM, but iir...

Re: W201 M111 Conversion (Hellen 128)
Hellen128 is direct plugin if your donor car is ME2.0/2.1 (Pre-2000), if it's ~2000+ you will need to repin the wires to fit the plug setup for the Earlier ECM. Others have published tunes for M111 Kompressor engines, but you may need to adjust it to your particular engine/setup, as Andrey said. You...

so if you plan on using 3 or 4 outputs for the transmission control, then 3 of the proteus digital outputs would be routed to the transmission harness? and custom code will be added for the transmission outputs? Yes, more or less. Probably definitely not a ton of C/C++ custom code. Most of the stuf...

http://benzbits.com/DAS.pdf Short answer, it depends on model/year. Newer stuff ~2005+ I have no idea, but my guess is we're talking removing/bypassing several different systems. Re: 1992 Mercedes 190e M111 swap
One of the M111 guys will know more, but it looks like your engine is Coil on Plug, rather than the older style wasted spark. There may be an issue with how your ignition is setup within the ECM. I know on the larger engines, ~95-00 throttle bodies have sort of an oval plug, 01+ have a different sha...

You might want to look into something https://www.drivelife.co.nz/category/advice/projects/fz12-supercar/ Easiest way is to reuse the stock engine computers with manual TBs; I'm fairly sure your car is pre-antitheft so there isn't actually much going to the outside world on the ECMs. I'm not sure th...

Both Air Pump Relay and the Switchover valve are emissions controls. I believe the air pump is mostly active when you first start the engine to get the catalytic converter up to temp faster. Both of them are LSS, I'm not sure the current requirements on the switchover valve, but I don't expect it to...

I haven't dived into the in depth part of the schematic, but I assume if the components work on M111, they'll work on M104. The list below should be the pinouts missing or different on Hellen128. I haven't checked the features Hellen128 supports that I don't have/don't think I have. The Hellen128 sc...

97(?) I think, the build date is July 96. The biggest change in the M104 210s is the antitheft system changed in June(?) 96, and then again some time in 97. This car has had the ECM replaced atleast once. It uses the same ME2.0/2.1 A-F plug arrangement, so it should just be a matter of adding the ap...

Hellen128 on a Mercedes E320 W210 M104 probably 1996 or 1997
The M104 is an inline 6 in the Mercedes M10x Engine Family. It is based on the same architecture as a M111 inline 4. The M104 was produced in roughly three versions, 90-93, ~93-95, 96-98. The easiest way to spot the differences is the valve covers, but each version uses a difference control scheme, ...

If this is PnP for the M111, then presumably it is PnP for a late run M104 with the addition of a few more inj/ign drivers, no?
