Re: Hellen88 ETB support
I'm still figuring everything out, and just got it to fire on all 6 cylinders. I'll document everything after it's all worked out. Apparently you have to set ignition settings to wasted spark with "Individually wired wasted spark" set to true. I had it set to individual coils, and it only ...

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
Need one more because PPS1 isn't selectable.
I think it's pin 37 on the STM32, so...
- pin: PPS1
# H144_IN_PPS
id: EFI_ADC123_IN3
class: analog_inputs
ts_name: PPS1
But I'm unsure if "EFI_ADC123_IN3" is correct.

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
Proposed this addition to https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/blob/master/firmware/config/boards/hellen/hellen88bmw/connectors/main.yaml so that I can actually assign the inputs I need for the external TPS and PPS. - pin: Aux PPS2 # H144_IN_AUX2 id: EFI_ADC_14 class: analog_inputs ts_name: Aux PPS2 - p...

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
See https://github.com/rusefi/hellen88bmw-issues/issues/47 it would probably clarify I've also improved https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hellen-88-BMW#auxiliary-pins section of the documentation just a bit Gotcha. J19 is the DC motor + and - J20 and J21 are for the TPS and PPS. Thanks Andrey!

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
Actually, now that I'm looking at it, where are the + and - connections for the ETB motor? Still learning to navigate this stuff. I'm gonna try to cross reference labels from the MRE, maybe I can find it that way. -Edit: "E-THROTTLE+" or "E-THROTTLE-" do not appear in the Hellen8...

I need your help in pin pointing where does your understanding of this board end at the moment :) Q1: are you aware of https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hellen-88-BMW Q2: does above link to https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/wiki/Hardware/Hellen/hellen88bmw-a-schematic.pdf Q3: did you have a chan...

microRusEFI failing to save calibration
when powered by the car and not just USB, settings in TunerStudio do not save onto the MRE and remain on the next startup. I repeatedly (startup after startup after some short trips) had to hit the "send tunerstudio settings" button when plugging in the MRE to my laptop. After every sessio...

Well I pulled R86 and it still seemed to behave like it did before. Sat at 3.45v floating.
Trying to use this pin as a launch control switch.

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
There just went any for sale on eBay. Assumed you were waiting on more to come in. Context is I'm trying to make an ETB work on my Hellen 88 for my E34. I do have a PPS I can use and an ETB. I have no clue how to wire it into the Hellen 88 and that's what this post is about. It's not labled anywhere...

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
Doesn't look like there's a Proteus in stock, so I guess we're back to modifying the Hellen. I do have that connector, though it's not labled at all for an ETB or PPS.
Would modification to the board to accept those things be simple enough to do?

Re: Hellen88 ETB support
The more I look at the pinout, the more it looks like I'm just going to have to go Proteus. It doesn't look like this will just accept an electric pedal and ETB without a completely new PCB.

Re: MRE issues with AN pins
Pin behavior when floating - 3.3v on ignition and only ignition. Not ACC. Pin behavior when provided voltage from the AFR gauge - Multimeter shows the pin is reading the correct voltage both in ACC and ignition key positions. When I remove power from the gauge, nothing on ACC, but ignition makes the...

Re: MRE issues with AN pins
I mean sure, but from other discussion it appeared that all four will behave similarly. Since I'm using pin 19 for my AFR, I should be able to utilize pin 32 for something else right? Can I try using it for my tach? If so, I'll go ahead and hook it up for testing.

Not sure what exactly you want to see, but I double checked before making this post with pin 36 floating. Once I turn on ignition, it immediately jumps to a steady 3.3 volts.

microRusEFI issues with AN pins affected by aux reuse
I was attempting to get the MRE to read my AEM AFR output when I discovered many of the pins don't work properly. Pin 32, for whatever reason, wouldn't take in the 5v signal from the gauge, so I looked for other ones. With ignition turned on, pins 28, 32, 36, and 40 all would go to 3.3v. I'm not an ...

Hellen88 ETB support
Running it by Andrey, seems as though the BMW Hellen 88 board will support an ETB. I'm doing this to delete the clunky factory IAC to make some room, and I could maybe use a few more features with an ETB anyway. Would anyone happen to know how I can wire it in? And would anyone have any recommendati...

Yeah, like on the phone I would prefer just to keep the 88 pins. I can try to find some diagrams. I used to have them, I'll just have to do some searching.
They should be damn near the same.

Creesic's BMW M73 V12 in a E31
Hey, I'm David. I'm based out of Sarasota Florida. I've got a few projects, but we'll start with this one. I have an auto 1991 BMW 850i that I'm swapping to a later M73 V12, from the M70 originally, and swapping it from a 6 speed manual from a 4 speed auto. Will probably use the engine from vin DH66...
