if you plug the kia tps right in, you will find that the calibration values are backwards due to the switched wires but it works perfectly fine.
Thanks, and I'll still have to remove the R22 resistor?

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

So in this thread:

https://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1908

It looks like I have to switch two pins around, and remove the R22 10k resistor?

If I just get the popular BMW TPS (used on speeduino and MS), will it work without having to do the above mods?

Thanks

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

Guys,

To use the Kia TPS, do I have to switch wires/pins around? I think I read that somewhere but for some reason I can't find the info.

Thanks

Its mre pin 35 or GP1 i think. What do your options look like? I have played with mre48 in a bit.
Looks like pin 35 is GP1?

It looks like its disabled, which Pin and pin mode should I select?

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

The firmware has a section for the fuel pump control that will allow the ecu to power the fuel pump relay for priming and then whenever it sees rpms. I believe you need to go from 2T on the ecu to 2O on the chassis side. Easy with your boomslang. Then jumping the maf connector. image.png Awesome! T...

Hi All, My car is officially turbo'd with a GReddy turbo kit. I would like to look into deleting the AFM and I have some questions: I'm assuming the fuel pump pins have to be jumped at the connector? If so, does the MRE ECU control the fuel pump or should I look into an aftermarket fuel pump relay t...

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

Andrey, The 5V USB power through 2J works for me (in the MRE48 page it says it was untested), I plan to solder a permanent Micro USB female plug to the harness so that I don't have to worry about cutting a hole in the cover or vibration causing strain on the Micro USB port on the board it's self. Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

I reset the board to the base map, corrected the MAF pin as suggested earlier in the thread and let the car warm up really good with the stock ECU.

I currently do not have a wideband installed, it's running on the stock o2 sensor.

Thanks,

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

Hi Andrey,

I hope you are doing well! I want to add that the car runs perfectly fine when I put the stock ECU back in, so I don't think it's a spark or fuel delivery issue, I'm thinking it's something with the tune or board?

Thanks

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

Hi guys, trying to get back into this project.

When removing the stock AFM and using a GM IAT, does the fuel pump pins have to be jumped at the connector? If so, does this mean the fuel pump will always be running when the car is on or is there another method of control?

Thanks!

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata

I've always suspected my car for some reason is running rich, even with the stock ECU. Gas mileage is not great and there is a stronger fuel smell when warming up. Would a bad O2 sensor be causing this?
