Re: 1991 NA6 Miata (Stock)
Pinging @stefanst for help. It may be some kind of HW revision issue (I had to swap the injection wires to match the old config v.s. the NA6 preset)
But after that everything looks good until I hit 3000rpm, and I get trigger errors.- Tue Apr 19, 2022 6:25 pm

Re: 1991 NA6 Miata (Stock)
Sorry, forgot to state the exact problem... The exact issue is that once the RPM hits about 3000rpm the engine will not rev up any more and the trigger error count keeps going up. Using the same configuration and 202008 firmware there is no such problem. Once the engine goes below 3000rpm everything...

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata
If you don't remove R22 the values will fluctuate because of unstable voltages, but it's perfectly usable
Also I did the pinout swap, but the values are still backwards

It appears the RusEFI online upload is broken. Let's be more specific to make this exchange overall more productive. I was able to upload your tune at https://rusefi.com/online/view.php?msq=950 thus I've removed attachment. Please upload from under your username to reduce confusion and provide URL....

Re: 1991 NA6 Miata (Stock)
I need help. Today I updated the firmware in my MRE48 to the latest, and suddenly I am getting trigger errors at about 3000rpm. I checked everything and it does not work... @AndreyB Below 3000 it works fine, but once it hits 3000 this is printed in the console and engine loses sync: 2022-04-13_19_06...

Re: [NA6 1991 Miata, MRE48] How to convert to Kia TPS
I am very confused: a) resistors with three wire pots? why? b) swapping pins? pots do not care if we swap GND and power? I am a software guy so it's easy to get me confused but still :) Let me explain: the KIA TPS POT has 3 pins, 1 2 3 -> CENTER LEFT RIGHT. The stock harness will connect 1 to WOT, ...

Re: [NA6 1991 Miata, MRE48] How to convert to Kia TPS
OK. I reversed the top and bottom pins on the TPS connector. Now it works. However the 10K resistor is too high for a proper pull-up for the KIA sensor.
@Andrey maybe this should be updated to the wiki?

[NA6 1991 Miata, MRE48] How to convert to Kia TPS
I have printed the adapter plate with ABS and bought a Kia TPS with the Miata plug. There are documentation on the wiki that touches on how to jump the MREAdapter48 for a Kia TPS, but the information is outdated (Schematic is at 0.4 now). From what I see from the schematics I think 1N: IDL for stock...

I think this is what I experience. IAC below 30% increases the idle, up to ~1800rpm at 0%.

I tried the manual slider today and discovered that it can't go under 1000 however I change the setting. @AndreyB is right, I could have a vacuum leak somewhere. Will do more experiments tomorrow.

Re: Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)
Hi Andrey, My suggestion is that we should have a manual IAC override (like a slider or text box) that can temporarily change the "raw" IAC percentage (in PWM %) in the "Bench Test". This would immediately determine if it's a controller issue or an IAC issue. I can try unhooking ...

Re: Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)
I think there needs to be a function to test the IAC valve by setting it to a predetermined number? If you look at the logs you will see that the minimal IAC output is above 30%, while the rpm is ~100 rpm faster than the target rpm.
I will try multiplying the VE table and autotune again today.

Re: Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)
Hi Gepro, Thanks for the suggestions! BTW, how can I remove the 20kPa row from the VE table? I did another autotune run today for 30 minutes. Stalled maybe 5 times, but I don't know if it's really deceleration-caused. I think it's probably linked with power steering, as stall happens almost all at t...

Deceleration Settings (91' NA Miata B6ZE)
Hi all, Per @AndreyB 's request I'll put the problem here as a new thread. What I have: - 1.6L B6ZE Miata 1991 - MAP signal tee'd from the fuel pressure regulator - Wideband (LC-2) - Stock on-off TPS (I have a vTPS on hand, thinking about installing this week) What I experience: - RPM dips too much ...

Re: 1993 Mazda Miata
Hi @starsky, I actually suspected the same, if you have your stock narrowband and the rusefi board you can actually check if that is true by setting a custom wideband profile in Sensors->EGO, type Custom, low voltage 0, low AFR 0, high voltage 5, high value 5, and the gauge should output something b...

Re: 1991 NA6 Miata (Stock)
Wideband is installed :) Took a last-minute drive to Walmart for the last open hour for Christmas supplies. Issue: the engine tends to stall when releasing the throttle abruptly (4000rpm to idle, for example). Happened 3 times in my ~2mile drive in heavy traffic. I am still using the stock TPS, mayb...

Just put on all the electronics for the wideband. However the old o2 sensor is seized - probably hasn't been replaced in 20 years lol.
Put some WD-40 on the bung last night and will try again today, hope the best.

So I finally got time to install the new unit from @stefanst . And yes, it cranked up in 3 seconds and idled without issue. I have to buy a wideband before actually running the car with it since I don't want to run in blind, but this is already looking great!

Re: 1991 NA6 Miata (Stock)
@mck1117 Yes, we used the DIAGNOSIS jumper box and the fuel pump was running (confirmed noise).
@AndreyB I agree, probably it's a subtle difference in ECU wiring. I am very busy for my studies, but I am more than happy to test anything (I have a DMM and an oscilloscope).
@stefanst Many thanks!
