Re: How many WBO over CAN
For WBO you can sen any of 256 CAN ID offset. It needs two CANID (transmits two packets). So you can add up to 128 devices on one bus. For RusEFI FW, currently only two CAN WBOs are supported https://github.com/rusefi/rusefi/blob/fb7df80694e7f69c2558b0ea8ed415a71b13bbe7/firmware/init/sensor/init_lam...

Add RC filter and connect oscilloscope after it to measure effective voltage.

Re: Marquis de Sad - 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis
What is timescale? 1mS?
So frequency is about 5..8 KHz? This seems to much. Looks like you are looking at switching regulator trying to keep constant current through solenoid.
Switch to 100mS scale. As far as I know transmission solenoids modulated at frequencies about 10Hz.

Check "Pump driver" and surrounding. Lambda is around 1.0 because measured Pump current is close to 0. Nernst about zero at free air makes me think current source is not producing any current, or connection issue. Do you see PWM signal on Ip_dac? Does it change duty when you apply gas from...

Re: UAEFI vs 407disco (actual) startup times difference
Good practice is to have HW protection against unwanted state during power on. So cpu can stay under reset/flashing state without any hw harm. Default pins states are defined in STM32 manual. Yes it takes some time for FW to start, init, load settings and apply this settings to pins. If reset state ...

It should work without capacitor. But will be affected by noises. On real car at least. On table should work fine with no cap.Thomas18TE wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 11:54 amTo test it it would have to work without the capacitor? I can then definitely set the sine voltage lower.

Negative test - short oscillator. ECU should stop driving everything. I guess we have no fallback to internal oscillator enabled.

Re: How do I reproduce EMI-related problem at my place? Also smoke
EMI will not 100% lead to HardFault.
EMI can cause PLL or oscillator failure - code execution stops.
So SW is not a solution.
Use HW timers for one-short pulse generation. Still can stuck active in case of PLL/clock issue.
Use special IC. MC33810 has several protections for ign outputs.
