Ok, so I looked for some more SD cards lying around, and ended up with four different types. Formatted all of them to standard configuration and exFAT, re-uploaded latest firmware version, and 3/4 sd cards now works and mounts once USB is connected.

The white SanDisk appears as a disk in Windows explorer for a split second after connection before it disappeares. I assume, based on the link posted above, that the white SanDisk doesn't work with SPI, and hence won't mount correctly.

if an SD card does not mount on an official board it could be about SPI vs SDIO

Given that the SD card mounts just fine to the exact same unit after back-dating to an older firmware version, it seems like a FW related issue to me.
My boards are currently running F429ZGT6 if that makes any difference.

Also, has there been reported problems with larger SD cards, given that the 128mb mounts jut fine, but the 32gb or 64gb doesn't?

Please consider having one official board could be microRusEFI could be proteus could be alphax-4chan

If an SD card does not mount on an official board it could be about SPI vs SDIO.

SD card mounting problem on Custom ECU with latest FW release

Running Custom ECU based on Proteus v.05.
Powered by USB while testing SD cards (no 12V).

Updated to latest release FW "snapshot_20221208_184053_proteus_f4_rusefi".
SD card refuse to mount. Tried multiple cards.

Backdate to "snapshot_20220703_213113_proteus_f4_rusefi". SD card mounts fine upon USB connection, but only my "Chinese" 128mb SD card.
Multiple new Kingston 32gb or 64gb does not mount whatsoever. Tried formatting multiple times w. default settings and FAT32, exFAT, NTFS. No luck.

Any hints?
